Thanks to all of you who helped " Push the Boat out" so sucessfully. Forty Five visitors underterred by gloomy forecast turned up keen to have a go at sailing and windsurfing. Although the rain largely held off, wind blew harder than forecast and a cool 20-25 mph with the odd squall above this made for exciting sailing in well reefed boats. The Drascombe elegantly sailed by Jeremy , Geoff and Gwynneth remained serene in the waves . More exciting times were had in the omegas and fevas ably skippered by our FF fleet, Ian and youth sailors Harry and Thomas. Duncan offered maximum adrenaline out on the trapeze in his Dart providing an unforgettable experience for some brave folk who had never sailed before! There was plenty of interest in windsurfing although the strong onshore wind made getting launched impossible so a free day in better weather is on offer. A big thanks to all those on shore from galley to the wonderful team on wetsuit duty or rib duty. There were many smiling faces as folk came in. We welcome the new members who have signed up to continue their enjoyment in sailing
We look forward to inviting more people to enjoy our club on July 8th for our summer open day.
