A close finale to the May Day Bank Holiday Pursuit Race

Monday 1st May . A strong showing of GP14s accompanied by an assorted collection of Topaz, laser and mirrors turned up for the bank holiday pursuit. After a quick explanation of pursuit racing for those new to the game, the brave James Armstrong headed off in his optimist to lead the fleet.

With 30 seconds to the 60 minute finish it was too close to call between paul's mirror,  the Topaz of Mark Worthington in hot pursuit. It was the tactical sailing of Thomas Donald in the laser radial that positioned himself into the winning position on the beat as the final signal blew. For the final results go to the reults tab.
