Perhaps those with some sense read the wind forecast on Wednesday and decided to put their feet up instead. They missed out on some interesting racing! In a good 18-30 mph westerly an intrepid collection of lasers, optimists, a topaz and a mirror launched into the waves. Having a small sail gave the advantage with the laser 4.7s beating the radial and full rigs on the water. The bigger the sail, the more spectacular the capsize! The optimists and mirror meanwhile looked in complete control! It's looking quite breezy again for the weekend but come and have a go.
Sunday racing starts as usual at 11am with 2 races morning and afternoon. Come early as the wind strength is set to rise .
Bank Holiday Monday the club is open with a BH pursuit race at 2pm (briefing at 1pm)
